Dear Birth Parent(s),
We know that you are making some very important and difficult decisions about your baby’s future and your own at this time. We can only wish you strength and courage. We sincerely admire your
commitment to giving your baby the best home and life possible. This decision you are making requires a great deal of bravery, generosity, and a selfless act of love. We understand this decision is difficult and our thoughts and prayers are with you. We would be honored if you read our letter about us. We hope that you will find peace and comfort in your heart knowing we can provide a secure, loving, and happy future for your child.

Our Story
We have known each other since 1989. Since the day we met, we knew there was something special about our relationship. Faith, love, honesty, respect, and hardworking are values that we share and pride our relationship on. It forms our strong foundation that we have built our love and life on together. We both come from families who were family oriented, hard workers, and Christians. Our parents taught us to be honest, loving, and hardworking individuals. And we too, will instill the same values to our children.

After dating for 5 years and finishing college, we decided to get married. Once we were married we started to have children. We have two boys that are 11 and 8 years old. We both have always dreamed of having more than two children, but what we didn’t realize was that we both had always wanted to adopt. We both agree that whether or not our children are biological, we have a heart-felt desire to add to our existing family. And the boys are just as excited, if not more, as we are in this journey we are pursuing. We feel there is no act of greater love than to pursue adoption.

About Lisa
I was born in 1972 and I am the youngest of two. I have a older brother who has two children of his own. Not only do I love being a mom, but I also love being an aunt. Being close to my family, only makes having children even more special. In high-school I stayed active by playing basketball and was an teacher’s assistant for the elementary school. I graduated from Oakland University with a nursing degree. I love being a nurse, it allows me the flexibility to schedule work around my family. I am very fortunate, I have and can take time-off to be with my children. Being a nurse is a lot like being a mom, except I don’t get paid in hugs, kisses and laughter (some high-fives too).

Corey describes me as loving, caring, fun, smart, and organized. The boys think I’m pretty “awesome” too. Interests of mine include spending time with family & friends, photography, scrapbooking, traveling, and anything outdoors (camping, biking, etc.). Along with the boys, I love our family pet (cat) - Shadow. We adopted her from the humane society and she has made herself right at home. We take her almost everywhere, she hops into her carrier and away we go. I owe Corey & my family everything, they make me a better person and love unconditionally. It warms my heart to know I’m apart of such a great family and can only hope to expand it and share it with another child.

About Corey
I was born in 1970 and I am the third son of four boys. My siblings have children of their own whom I spend time with as often as I can. I enjoy it when my boys and I get to spend time with my family. In high-school I played basketball and graduated as Valedictorian of my class. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a engineering degree. Since the day I graduated, I have been working for the same automotive company and have achieved many advancements. Lisa and the boys describe me as smart, funny, loving, and hard-working. I love sports of any kind, especially when I get to watch or play them with my boys. I am an assistant coach for my youngest’s baseball team. It has been great helping the boys and watching them improve over the season. There is nothing better, than to see the joy in a child’s eyes when they do good at any sport. I also enjoy outdoor activities, such as camping, hunting, and four-wheeling. And I like to work out in my shed on various projects. The boys also come out and help me with some of the projects too. Having a family of my own has made me open up my heart and mind even more than I thought was possible. I look forward to sharing our family, love, and life with another child.

Our Promise To You...
We have been blessed with two biological boys of our own and a supportive family that believe in us and are behind us all the way. If you choose our family, your child would be showered with love from the entire family, especially from two older brothers! Our boys are very excited about having another sibling, especially Tristan because he looks forward to being an “older brother” too. If we were fortunate enough to be chosen, we promise to love your child unconditionally and be supportive, kind, and thoughtful parents. We will support, guide, and allow your child to live a life of happiness and peace. It is with great admiration and honor to be allowed this wonderfully amazing chance to give unconditional love, stability, and endless opportunities to your precious child. We hope you will find it in your heart to once again allow your love for your baby to accept us for this cherished opportunity to care for and love them beyond all measures. We are looking forward to the day when we are blessed to be able to welcome your baby into our home and share our life with the both of you. We look forward to getting to know you and your family, if that is what you would like, and talking about what the future may hold for you and your baby.
